Instagrammable stays: how glamping turns your park into the photo guests share

Most holidays now start on a phone. Someone scrolls past a photo of a canvas tent glowing at dusk, an outdoor bath on a timber deck, or a fire pit under the stars, and they save it. A few weeks later, they're searching for where it was.

That's why the most valuable thing a glamping tent adds to your park might not be the nightly rate. It's the photo.

Why glamping photographs so well

A cabin looks like a cabin. A glamping tent looks like a getaway. The canvas catches the light, the interiors are styled, and the setting is part of the picture. Guests don't need to be photographers to get a great shot: the tent does most of the work.

Every guest becomes your marketing

When guests post their stay, their friends see your park in the most convincing way possible: a real person, having a real holiday, in a place that looks special. That's word of mouth at scale, and you didn't pay for it.

Glamping guests are especially likely to share, because the stay itself is the reason for the trip. A birthday weekend, an anniversary, a girls' getaway: these are moments people want to remember and show.

Design your glamping for the photo

A few choices make a big difference to how often your glamping gets shared:

  • Face the view. Position tents so the opening frames the water, the bush or the sunset.

  • Add one hero feature. An outdoor bath, a Dutch Tub, a fire pit or a hammock gives guests a signature shot.

  • Light it well. Festoon lights, lanterns and warm interior lighting make evening photos glow.

  • Style the interior. Linen, cushions, timber and plants photograph better than plain furniture.

  • Give it a name. A named tent or glamping area gives guests something to tag.

Make it easy to share

Put your Instagram handle and a hashtag on a small card in each tent. Reshare guest photos (with permission) on your own accounts. Ask happy guests to tag you when they post. It costs nothing and builds a library of real photos over time.

Start with great photos of your own

Guest photos are a bonus, but your website and booking listings need professional images from day one. Our aerial service, Drone Boy, can film and photograph your new glamping area from above and on the ground as soon as it opens, so your listings look as good as the real thing.
